The European Film Festival in Indonesia with a focus on women's cinema

The upcoming European Film Festival "Europe on Screen 2025" will be held from June 13 to 22 in seven major Indonesian cities - Jakarta, Bandung, Denpasar, Medan, Surabaya, Sidoarjo and Yogyakarta. The festival program will present 55 feature and documentary films from 27 European countries, with over 50% of the titles directed by women. This marks an important breakthrough towards equal access for women in the film industry. The initiative is part of a long-term strategy to promote European culture and cinema beyond the continent's borders.
