Burgas will hold its autumn literary festival from 1 to 30 October, organisers say. Events take place at the Writers' House on Vola Street 3 and at the Peyo Yavorov Regional Library on Sredna Gora Street 14. All start at 6pm, with two exceptions: on 14 October the event begins at 6:30pm, and no time has yet been set for the "Literary Salons" running from 23 to 25 October.

The festival opens on 1 October at the Writers' House. Nikolay Fenerski hosts the evening, working from his own script, with Lyudmil Stanev as special guest. The next evening, 2 October, Stanev meets the public at a Guest Evening.

On 5 October Violeta Voeva presents her poetry collection "Wings for Recognition." On 6 October the Sea Crabs club holds a Smile Evening, where Mihail Veshim presents "The Chemistry of a Joke." On 7 October Slavi Tomov presents the novel "Ida" by Katharina Adler. On 8 October comes the launch of "Dragon Houses," a book in which children tell stories about the Strandzha region and provide both the tales and the pictures. Vili Koleva wrote the script and hosts.

On 9 October at the library, Mitko Novkov presents "Creativity in Artistic Experiment" by Professor Rositsa Yordanova.

On 12 October Roza Maksimova presents the novel "On Vinyl" by Alexander Kulik. On 13 October Professor Kalina Lukova talks about Tatyana Yotova's short stories "While I Waited for You." On 14 October at 6:30pm at the library, Vanyo Valchev and the publishing house Library Bulgaria present "Do You Remember..." by Yana Valcheva.

On 15 October Roza Boyanova presents Vili Koleva's poetry collection "A Place for a Sunny House." On 16 October Natalia Nedyalkova and Diana Fartunova host a Poetry Evening. On 17 October comes the meeting "Poetic Exchanges: the Untouched Worlds and Bright Apocalypses of Ina Ivanova and Diana Savateva."

Next up: Georgi N. Nikolov presents Dimitar Hristov's poetry collection "Archaeology of Love" on 19 October; Parush Parushev presents his own "Profiles – Near and Far" on 20 October; and on 21 October Parushev presents Diana Fartunova's "Sketches in Pen and Brush," a collection of poems and drawings.

The evening "On the Forehead of Summer – the Same Sign: Life Is Good!" on 22 October marks 80 years since the birth of Toma Binchev. It takes place in the "Acad. Konstantin Petkanov" hall at the library, with Dr Dobrina Topalova presenting and Elka Vasileva hosting.

From 23 to 25 October, the Writers' House holds three days of "Literary Salons" with Irina Papancheva.

Slavi Tomov hosts a Prose Evening on 26 October. On 27 October Yancho Cholakov presents the short story collection "Covid," and that same evening at the library the publishing house Libra Scorp holds the meeting "Literary Meridians: What's Being Written Here and Now" with Dencho Mihov.

On 28 October Nikolay Fenerski presents prose by Václav Pankovčín, translated from Slovak. The next day, 29 October, Professor Kalina Lukova and Associate Professor Sofia Angelova discuss Kalina Telyanova's poetry collection "A Wing's Distance Away."

The festival closes on 30 October with the launch of the magazine "More" ("Sea").
