An eco-initiative and the opening of an underwater park on the island of St. Anastasia

The traditional eco-initiative of the "Friends of the Sea" association for cleaning the water area of ​​St. Anastasia Island will be held on June 14 (Saturday). All interested residents and guests of Burgas can join, reserving places for swimming to the island at 9:00 and 11:30. The 9:00 course will allow passengers to observe the divers during the cleaning of the seabed. Afterwards, the ship will dock on the island, where guests will be entertained with music on the beach and will be greeted with the famous mussels on a tin.

Another highlight of the event will be the official opening of the newly created underwater park "St. Anastasia", located in close proximity to the eponymous island in the Burgas Bay. The first exhibits of the park - the GAZ-13 "Chaika" cars and the radio relay station on the ZIL 157 chassis, were submerged in May by volunteers of the association with the help of the floating crane "Antey.

From 11:00 there will be a festive water blessing in the "Assumption of the Blessed Virgin" church on the occasion of the opening of the summer season on the island. Guests with the necessary equipment and certification can dive to the underwater park - one of the top attractions in the Burgas area.
