Movie Night with Emotions and Discussions in Burgas

On April 23rd at 7:00 PM, viewers in Burgas have the unique opportunity to watch the film “Wild Strawberries” by director Tatyana Pandurska at the “NHC” Cultural Center. The screening will not only be a cinematic experience, but also an occasion for a deep conversation, as a discussion with some of the film's crew will take place afterwards.

“Wild Strawberries” is a Bulgarian tragicomedy/drama from 2025 that touches the heart through a story about roots, family and finding oneself.

What is the film about?

The plot takes us to the heart of the Rhodope Mountains, where a weary New York architect Daphne Bellow arrives to inherit her grandmother’s dilapidated house. While trying to decipher the secrets of her Bulgarian origin and the dramatic story of her paternal family, she faces unexpected events and characters.

The film is inspired by the documentary stories “Forgotten by Heaven” by Ekaterina Tomova and features an exceptional cast of Bulgarian actors:

  • Vanina Kondova
  • Ivan Yurukov
  • Stela Gancheva
  • Neno Koinarski
  • Nikola Dodov
  • Vasil Binev
  • Petar Dochev

One of the most impressive and sad moments is that this is the last film of the legendary actor Kiril Kavadarkov.
