For the third consecutive year, the Bulgarian Athletics Federation (BFAF) is implementing the “Kids’ Athletics” initiative in the Sozopol municipality, with the village of Zidarovo hosting the sports event this time.

The event will take place on April 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM and is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 years old (grades 1–5). The program includes various team games based on the main athletics disciplines – running, jumping, and throwing. Through them, children develop their motor skills, learn teamwork, and build a lasting interest in sports.

The organizers from BFAF will provide all the necessary equipment for the activities, as well as certificates and gifts for the participants.

Instructors from the federation and coaches from the athletics clubs in Burgas will work with the children, taking care of good organization and safety during the games.

The initiative is already establishing itself as an anticipated event in the municipality's calendar. Last year it was held in Chernomorets, where it attracted dozens of children and was filled with a lot of fun, sports emotions, and smiles.

This year, the event in Zidarovo is expected to gather young sports enthusiasts from different settlements to participate in the activities and experience a day filled with movement, games, and new friendships.

The initiative is part of the efforts to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among children and to popularize athletics as an accessible and beneficial sport for the youngest ones.
