147 years since the establishment of the Naval Forces
With a solemn military ritual in front of the Sailor's Monument in Burgas, the 147th anniversary of the establishment of the Naval Forces (NF) of the Republic of Bulgaria was celebrated.
Official ceremony and attendees
The parade was inspected by the Commander of the Naval Forces, Rear Admiral Kiril Mihaylov. The ceremony was attended by officials, including Regional Governor Diko Dikov, representatives of the Municipal Council, the Municipality of Burgas, the Municipality of Sredets, as well as many citizens who came to pay their respects.
Wreaths and flowers were laid on behalf of various state and local institutions as a sign of appreciation for the work of Bulgarian sailors.
Holiday program
- Concert: This evening at 19:30, the Representative Brass Band of the Naval Forces will perform at the "Okhlyuva" open-air stage.
- Open Days: On August 8 and 9 (Saturday and Sunday) from 09:00 to 19:00, residents and guests of Burgas will have the unique chance to visit ships from the Naval Forces in the area of the Marine Station.

Абе хора... честно казано, гледам тия снимки от Бургас и ме е яд. Яд ми е как се излагаме по този начин. 147 години ВМС... ама к'во имаме? Едни ръждясали кораби, дето повече приличат на потъващи останки, отколкото на сила.
Абе, хора! Срам и позор! Да честит празник на моряците ни - да са живи и здрави наистина! Но сериозно ли? Гледам тия снимки от Бургас и ми иде да плача от яд! 147 години ВМС... и какво имаме в крайна сметка? Една жалка картинка на изоставане.
Абе тва е яко за моряците, наистина! Да са живи и здрави момчетата, дето пазят границата ни! ⚓️ Но викам си аз… 147 години?! Сериозно ли? Трябва да се инвестира в тях малко хораааа. Не може да ходим с ръждясали
