The seaside city of Burgas will become the epicenter of skate culture during the first of its kind large-scale urban event BURGAS SKATE WEEKEND, planned for August 23 and 24, 2025.
The multi-genre initiative brings together leading organizations such as Skateboard Club Burgas, Burgas Municipality, International Youth Cultural Center, and Amnesia Skate Shop. Official partners include Mall Grand Plaza, Geramis, 0511.bg, Art of Flow, and Dynasty Shipbrokers.
The program offers extremely diverse content for street sports and contemporary urban culture enthusiasts. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in or observe many attractive events, including:
- Professional skateboarding competitions for different age categories
- Impressive demonstrations by the best Bulgarian skaters
- Musical performances with DJ sets and live performances
- Street art exhibitions and cultural presentations
The organizers aim to present skateboarding not just as a sport, but as a modern cultural phenomenon that brings together people with different interests and aesthetic perceptions.
The event will take place at various locations in Burgas, with the detailed program to be announced additionally. Access will be completely free for all those wanting to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of urban youth culture.
