Jubilee Festival of the Arts in Burgas
Burgas is preparing for one of the most anticipated cultural events in the city – the 20th jubilee edition of the International Competition "Joy on the Coast". The festival will take place from June 23 to 26 and will turn the seaside city into a stage for talented performers from all over the world.
This year's edition is dedicated to the ambitious candidacy of Burgas for "European Capital of Culture" in 2032.
Program and Highlights:
- June 23 (Tuesday): Festive parade from "Troykata" Square (5:00 PM) towards the Sea Garden.
- Official Opening: At 6:00 PM at the "Ohlyuva" (The Snail) stage, the spectacle "Joy Begins in Burgas" will kick off.
- Participation: Youth groups and students from Burgas schools will showcase the city's potential.
The organizers from the "Folkart Society" and "Cultural Compass Bulgaria" emphasize that the event is included in the Program of Measures for the Protection of Children with Outstanding Gifts for 2026, which confirms its high status. All concerts and events have free admission for residents and guests of the city.
