Burgas welcomes the "FANTASTIC" festival for literature and technologies of the future

On June 27, Friday, the first edition of the festival "FANTASTIC BURGAS" will be held at the City Library of Burgas. The event, focused on speculative literature and the technologies of the future, will start at 6:00 PM and will be free admission for the public.

The main focus during the festival will be the premiere presentation of the new novel "The Tale of Karina and Gabriel" by the science fiction writer Marin Troshanov. The work is inspired by classic European fairy tales and is illustrated by the legendary artist Petar Stanimiroff.

The host of the event will be the popular author, radio presenter, and film critic Blagoy D. Ivanov, known for his fresh perspective on speculative literature and children's adventures. The moderator of the festival will be Marin Troshanov himself - the recipient of the prestigious national awards "The Feather" and "Konstantin Konstantinov", selected to represent Bulgaria at the international Eurocon convention as the best author of Bulgarian science fiction for 2025.

Petar Stanimiroff, a creator with legendary status in domestic illustration and comics, will also participate in the event. He is the recipient of numerous national and international awards and has been selected to represent the country at Eurocon as the best Bulgarian illustrator of science fiction works for 2025. Stanimiroff is the secretary of the "Comics" section of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
