
The museums in Burgas organized another successful European Night of the Museums, offering visitors interesting exhibitions, artifacts, and a cultural program. The event is part of the city's support for its candidacy for the European Capital of Culture.
On May 18, 2025, the museums in Burgas joined the European Museum Night initiative, offering the residents of Burgas and the city's guests an evening filled with interesting artifacts, curious exhibits, and a rich cultural program. The Archaeological Museum presented three impressive exhibitions - the golden mask of the Thracian king Teres I, a copy of the Borovo Treasure, and ancient ceramics from Apollonia. The Historical Museum showcased the exhibitions "The Woman of Burgas in the 1930s and 1940s" and "Old Burgas through the Eyes of Dr. Melkonyan." The Natural History Museum opened the exhibition "Guests from Space" with meteorites from the museum's collection and new donations. The Ethnographic Museum organized a review of children's costumes and a concert with Strandzha folk music. In the temporary exhibition hall, visitors saw the exhibition "The Wonderful World of the Thracian Woman" from the Regional Ethnographic Museum in Plovdiv, presenting different stages of the life of a Bulgarian woman. All events at the Regional Historical Museum - Burgas support Burgas' candidacy for the European Capital of Culture.
