The National Library "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" and the Governor of Sofia-City Stefan Arsov are organizing a large-scale cultural initiative "Open-Air Cinema", which will be held at the end of the summer.
The five-day screening event will take place from August 12 to 16, 2025, with viewers able to enjoy a series of Bulgarian film productions every evening at 9:00 PM.
The program includes some of the most emblematic national titles such as "Gundi - A Legend of Love", "Without Wings", "Wedding", "Don't Close Your Eyes" and "The Break", which will be screened for free in the city garden behind the library.
A special focus of the event is the medical support by volunteers from the Bulgarian Red Cross, who will be constantly ready to provide first aid to the attending viewers.
Parallel to the film screenings, the BRC will launch a national call center with a professional team of trained staff who will provide health consultations during the cultural initiative.
