More than 80 break dancers from seven cities will compete in Burgas on Saturday, 17 October, in the "Battle Time 2026" tournament. The contest starts at 7pm in Hall 1 of the Youth Cultural Centre, Burgas council said.

The event's full name is "Battle Time – competition of youth break dance crews". The dancers registered in advance and come from Sofia, Dobrich, Vratsa, Razgrad, Sliven, Yambol and Burgas.

The evening opens with qualifying rounds, followed by the main contest, "EMPIRE". First place wins the title "EMPEROR" and second place wins "CAESAR". Rankings and prizes are by age group.

DaLame (Boyko Dzhelebov), Shifura (Stefan Georgiev) and Spago (Ivan Zhelyazkov) will judge. They will score technique, personal style, creativity and competitive spirit.

SAMM THE MAN (Samuil Topalov) and JOSE (Miro Markov) will host the evening. DJ Skill (Stefan Kolev) and DJ Jokata (Anatoli Dzhokov) will play the music.

The municipal enterprise "Youth International Cultural Centre" organises the tournament, which is part of the council's project "The Young of Burgas – the Future Starts Now". It is funded under the Ministry of Youth and Sports' 2026–2028 programme for funding youth centres in Bulgaria. The Black Style Squad sports break dance club from Burgas and the Bulgarian Breaking Federation support it.

The organisers say the tournament brings together people from Bulgaria's break dance scene, and young talents get a chance to show their skills, swap experience and join the break dance community. They invite Burgas residents and visitors to the city to come and watch the contest.

The next day, Sunday, 18 October, the registered dancers will have a joint training session in Hall 1 of the centre.
