The concert "Piazzolla - The Last Concert!..." will be held on June 11, Wednesday, at 7 pm in the hall of the State Opera - Burgas. The soloist of the event will be Stoyan Karaivanov, the first Bulgarian bandoneon player playing on the classic Argentine system. Karaivanov has been awarded an honorary diploma for high performing skills by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Arts and is the first musician from the young generation to have performed the entire work of Astor Piazzolla for bandoneon and orchestra.
The program of the concert includes works imbued with the emotionality and characteristic South American temperament of tango music. Among them are "Tres Tangos" for bandoneon and orchestra, "Adiós Nonino" - a work expressing filial love and reverence for the paternal figure, and "Aconcagua" - Concerto for Bandoneon and Orchestra, considered a peak in Piazzolla's work.
