The exhibition "Poetry of Everyday Life" opens today at 6pm at the Atelier gallery of the National Academy of Art (NAA) branch in Burgas, rector Georgi Yankov said. It comes from an international project the academy ran with the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, Beijing.

Mixed teams of Bulgarian and Chinese students worked on the project, and each team developed its own idea for an installation. "Each of these teams, with Bulgarian and Chinese students, started from some idea," Yankov told Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).

Yankov called the installations curious ideas. "Some of them light up, others are made of metal or wood. I think it will be interesting," he added.

The exhibition has two parts. The installations stand outdoors, while the academy's gallery shows the students' drafts and drawings from their preparation, as well as designs, visualisations, 3D models and scale models. This part of the show traces the project from design to completion.

The three finished figures will stay at the port of Burgas. Later they may be moved to other places in the city, Yankov said.
