The film "German Lessons" by Bulgarian director Pavel Vesnekov is included in the official program of the 41st edition of the Munich Film Festival (Filmfest München), which will take place between June 28 and July 7, 2025. The production will participate in the "International Independents" section, where it will compete with other European and global independent films.
The plot of the film tells the story of an elderly man who, before leaving Bulgaria forever, decides to take German lessons in order to say goodbye to his son living in Germany. The film has already received recognition, being awarded the "Golden Rose" and praised for the depth of its psychological narrative.

The Munich Film Festival is the second most important in Germany after the Berlinale and attracts over 70,000 viewers annually. The inclusion of "German Lessons" in the official selection of the prestigious forum is a great recognition for Bulgarian cinema.
