Start of the "Emil Chakarov" Burgas Music Festival 2026

Summer in Burgas begins with an exceptional event – the nineteenth edition of the "Emil Chakarov" Burgas Music Festival. The official opening will take place on July 1 at 8:30 PM on the stage of the Summer Theater with the large-scale ballet production "Le Corsaire".

"Le Corsaire" is proof that there are no barriers for the performing arts in the field of innovative explorations and original solutions.

The magic of "Le Corsaire" and the festival program

The director and choreographer of the spectacle is Galina Kalcheva, whose name stands behind numerous successful titles of the Burgas Opera. The audience will be immersed in an oriental fairy tale, filled with vibrant colors, love, jealousy, and daring sea adventures set to the music of Adolphe Adam and other classics.

Highlights of the festival program:

  • Ballet titles: "Le Corsaire", "Don Quixote", and "Giselle".
  • Operatic masterpieces: "Samson and Delilah" (including at the "Tsarevets" Fortress), "Tosca", and "Angels and Demons".
  • Operetta and musical: "The Gypsy Princess" and "My Fair Lady".
  • For the little ones: "Alice in Wonderland", "Patilantsi", "The Three Little Pigs", and "Max and Moritz".
