The government is accelerating the energy modernization of residential buildings with new 50 million leva.
The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works signed 49 new agreements worth 82 million levs for energy efficiency of residential buildings in 24 municipalities. The second stage of the National Energy Efficiency Program, financed with budget funds, is expected to start in the fall. The government is actively working to accelerate the renovation projects of multi-family buildings.
Burgas and Edirne are expanding academic cooperation
The mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov and the rector of Trakya University in Edirne Prof. Dr. Mustafa Hatiplar discussed the possibilities for strengthening academic exchange and cooperation between higher education institutions in the two cities. The meeting was held during a visit of a Turkish delegation to Burgas.

A new rope attraction with multiple obstacles will appear in Lake Park this summer.
Toros Play company will build and manage a new rope park in Lake Park for the next 10 years. The attraction will include 76 different obstacles on four floors with a height of 13.5 meters and will offer educational and recreational activities for children and adults.

The National Song Contest "Burgas and the Sea" 2025 is accepting applications for participation until June 15. The purpose of the contest is to discover and promote new Bulgarian musical talents, with a professional jury selecting up to 12 finalists from all the songs received.

In the first stage, 30 blocks have been approved, and their renovation is already underway. Additionally, the municipality has announced new public procurement for the engineering of another 22 buildings, approved for financing under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation (BBF) has been working for more than a year to create new routes for cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists around the lakes in Burgas, in order to connect people with the natural environment and provide access to these areas without harming their inhabitants. The organization collaborates with the Municipality of Burgas and local enthusiasts to test and improve routes, such as the one around Lake Mandra.

The Municipality of Burgas is organizing the second edition of the National Competition for Young Performers "Burgas and the Sea". Performers aged between 16 and 33 can participate individually or in groups of up to 6 people, presenting their own songs. The winner will receive an award for professional sound recording, advertising, and promotion of their song.

Pomorie with large-scale infrastructure modernization of the central city part
The Municipality of Pomorie has launched a major repair of streets, sidewalks, and reconstruction of the water supply and sewerage network in the central part of the town. The first phase of the project provides for the asphalting of "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" square, which requires the temporary suspension of parking in the area.
