Young European innovators with a vision for a sustainable future honored at a special ceremony
The European Patent Office will present the awards to the winners of the "Young Inventors Prize" competition for 2025 at a special ceremony in Reykjavik, Iceland. The competition aims to motivate young talents up to 30 years old to create innovative solutions for sustainable development, divided into the categories "World Builders", "Community Healers" and "Nature Guardians". Each selected participant will receive a cash prize, and three of them will be awarded special prizes.
The Bulgarian community in Ukraine honors the memory of Hristo Botev.
On June 2, in the village of Zadunayevka, Odessa region, the local Bulgarian population celebrated the Day of Botev and the fallen for the freedom of Bulgaria. The event, honored by the Consul of the Republic of Bulgaria and other official guests, included a memorial ceremony with recitation of poems, songs, and speeches about the life and heroism of Hristo Botev.
The young talents from Nessebar conquer Turkey with a folklore tour
The children's folklore group from OOSHI - Nessebar successfully conducted a tour within the framework of the International Arts Festival "Mandarin Flower" in Turkey. The young musicians, singers, and dancers impressed the jury and the audience, winning the prize for "Best Performance". The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Angel Cholakov, Ambassador of Bulgaria to Turkey.
Ukrainian-Bulgarian brotherhood: Artsyz and Gorна Oriahovitsa unite efforts for development
Two municipalities - Artsyz in Ukraine and Gorna Oryahovitsa in Bulgaria, signed a twinning agreement, which marked the beginning of a new friendship and cooperation. Joint initiatives are planned in the areas of infrastructure, healthcare, culture, business and other areas, aimed at the mutual development of the two communities.
Slavic heritage in hearts: Ethno-festival "Slavic language - the soul of the people" in the village of Rivne
In the village of Rivne, Odesa region, on the occasion of the Day of Slavic Literacy and Culture, the 14th ethno-festival "Slavic Language - the Soul of the People" took place. The event brought together the brightest creative groups and admirers of the Slavic heritage from the entire region, who presented colorful performances in national costumes, folk songs and dances. The festival became particularly memorable thanks to the presence of the twins Cyril and Methodius, whose names symbolize the significance of Slavic literacy.

The exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the remarkable Bulgarian marine painter Georgi Baev was opened on May 20 at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin. The event gathered art connoisseurs and admirers of the artist's work, with part of the exhibition including paintings from the collection of the Burgas Art Gallery.
Bulgarians in Odessa said goodbye to Baba Marta
On April 2, Bulgarians in Odessa said goodbye to Baba Marta by decorating a tree in the city garden with martenitsi. The initiative belongs to the All-Ukrainian Center for Bulgarian Culture, and students, teachers and parents from the Bulgarian Sunday School "V. Aprilov" joined it.
Next stage of the student Olympiad in Bulgarian language held in Odessa
The IV stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Bulgarian language and literature was held in Odessa. Four students from Bolhrad district were awarded for their excellent performance.
