In the morning, a thick fog will descend over many lowlands and valleys. The cold will grip the earth, with minimum temperatures fluctuating between 6 and 11 degrees Celsius. In the capital, Sofia, thermometers will show around 6 degrees.
Before noon, the sun's rays will break through the clouds, but in the Danubian Plain the fog may linger. Gradually, however, the picture will change. Cloudiness will increase from the west, which will bring a change in the weather. During the night into Tuesday, rain is expected in some parts of Western Bulgaria. The winds will remain almost unnoticeable. Maximum temperatures will range between 17 and 22 degrees, reaching around 19 degrees in Sofia.
On the Black Sea coast and in the mountains, the forecast is different.

A light to moderate wind will blow from the east-southeast, which will tousle the hair of beachgoers. Maximum temperatures will be between 17 and 19 degrees. The sea water temperature will be between 14 and 18 degrees, which suggests pleasant conditions for a walk along the shore. The sea swell will be 2-3 points.
In the mountains, the sun will remain the main player for most of the day. In the afternoon, cloudiness will increase from the west, and during the night into Tuesday there will be rain in the massifs of Western Bulgaria. A moderate wind will blow from the southwest. At an altitude of 1200 meters, the maximum temperature will be around 15 degrees, while at 2000 meters the thermometers will show around 10 degrees.
