Weather in Burgas and the region

In Burgas, variable cloudiness is expected, with a minimum temperature around 19–21°C and a maximum of up to 27°C. The probability of precipitation is low – about 8%, with no significant amounts expected.

The sea water temperature will be between 26°C and 27°C. A strong northeasterly wind will blow with an average speed of about 7–8 m/s, and gusts may reach about 13 m/s. The sea state in the open sea and at unprotected beaches may increase to 3–4 degrees.

The preliminary safety assessment for swimming in the Burgas region is yellow flag. The warm water does not negate the risk from strong wind, waves, and possible currents, so visitors should follow the lifeguards' signals.

Sofia and the region

In Sofia, it will be sunny, with temporary increases in cloudiness in the afternoon. Expected temperatures are around 14–17°C in the morning and up to 31°C during the day. The probability of precipitation is low, and the wind will be moderate from the east-northeast.

For Sofia, sea water temperature and swimming flags do not apply. However, visitors to dams and unsupervised bodies of water should follow local safety rules.

Eastern and Western Bulgaria

In Eastern Bulgaria, sunny weather will prevail. Maximum temperatures will be between 29°C and 32°C, and the northeasterly wind will be moderate, temporarily strong in places. The probability of precipitation remains minimal.

In Western Bulgaria, thermometers will show between 31°C and 35°C. In the afternoon over mountainous and southwestern regions, there will be temporary increases in cloudiness, but no significant precipitation is expected. A moderate east-northeasterly wind will blow.

In the mountains

In the mountains, the morning will be sunny, and in the afternoon, clouds will temporarily increase. Precipitation is unlikely. At an altitude of about 1200 meters, the temperature will reach 25°C, and at 2000 meters – about 19°C.

A moderate, temporarily strong easterly wind will blow, especially in high open parts. Sea water temperature and swimming flags do not apply to mountainous regions.
