Attention drivers: Heavy truck traffic on motorways to be restricted on Fridays and Sundays

The Road Infrastructure Agency is introducing temporary restrictions for trucks over 12 tons on the Trakia and Struma motorways, as well as the road through the Kresna Gorge, to ensure greater safety for travelers.

Temporary restrictions for heavy goods vehicles

In order to increase safety during the heavy weekend traffic, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) is introducing temporary restrictions for the movement of heavy goods vehicles over 12 tons on key road arteries:

The restrictions are valid on Friday (from 16:00 to 23:00) and Sunday (from 15:30 to 22:00).

To facilitate traffic, reversible traffic will be introduced in the Simitli area, with lanes being regulated according to traffic density on Fridays and Sundays.
