"Water and Sewerage - Burgas" has begun the reconstruction of the main water pipeline in Nessebar. The activities are carried out within the framework of the Integrated Water Project - Phase 2, financed by the European Union under the Environment Program 2021-2027. The total value of the project is 22 million leva.

The project is of high public importance. Through it, the aim is to modernize the morally and physically outdated water supply facilities, reduce accidents and limit water losses, provide better quality service for residents and businesses, and increase the water supply flow rate, especially during the busy tourist season.

The project is of national importance and is being implemented within strictly defined deadlines. For this reason, its implementation has been prioritized over the restrictions on construction activities under the Black Sea Coast Act. For faster execution of activities, work is being carried out in three stages simultaneously.

The reconstruction activities follow the direction from the transshipment station to Nessebar. On Berlin Street, the route connects to Ivan Vazov Street, where - including up to Hristo Kudev Street - the water supply network is to be renovated.

After the completion of the activities, a complete resurfacing of Ivan Vazov Street is planned. Nessebar Municipality continues to apply an integrated approach, in which the replacement of engineering networks is combined with the complete renovation of road surfaces.

The implementation of these activities is part of the plans of Nessebar Municipality and "Water and Sewerage - Burgas", who are the owners of the network, for the modernization of the underground infrastructure and the improvement of the street environment.
