An emergency meeting in parliament is seeking a solution to the water crisis in the Dobrich region. The water supply network is on the verge of collapse with 70-80% water losses, and the utility company has accumulated massive debts.

Tensions surrounding the lack of water in the Dobrich region have escalated to an institutional level. On the initiative of Member of Parliament Svilen Trifonov, a meeting was held aimed at finding a lasting solution for the critical state of the water transmission network.

"From one breakdown to the next, it is clear that the current situation will continue to deteriorate," stated MP Svilen Trifonov.

According to the company's management, current efforts are focused solely on patching up breakdowns, and "ViK Dobrich" cannot cope with the problem on its own without state intervention and the modernization of equipment.
