One person died and 27 were injured in 22 road traffic accidents in the country over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior (MIA) reports on its website.
Yesterday, around 8:30 a.m., an 18-year-old girl died in a crash near the village of Kazashko, the police directorate in Varna announced to BTA.
On December 20, 31 minor road incidents and one serious crash occurred in Sofia, with two people injured.
Over the past 24 hours, additional information was received about two more deceased participants in traffic accidents that occurred in a previous period, the MIA informs.
The number of fatalities in road accidents since the beginning of the year is now 442 people. Compared to the actual data for the deceased (466) during the same period in 2024, there are 24 fewer fatalities among road users in 2025, according to MIA statistics.
