Another black road safety statistic has shaken Bulgarian society. According to the official press release from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVR), the past 24 hours are characterized by an extremely high concentration of traffic accidents.
The most disturbing data shows that within just 24 hours, 30 serious accidents were registered, which claimed the lives of three people and caused physical injuries to 43 citizens. The capital is no different from the national picture – 16 minor incidents and one extremely serious accident were documented there, in which one person was injured.
The annual statistics further worsen the overall picture. Since the beginning of the calendar year, tragic road incidents have claimed the lives of 238 people, which raises serious questions about transport culture and road safety.
Experts from MVR continue to analyze the reasons for the increasing road incidents, with an emphasis on prevention and reducing the risk of such tragic events.
