In the last 24 hours in Bulgaria, numerous fires have been registered, leading to tragic consequences. The General Directorate “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population” (GDPSPC) reports that as of 6:00 AM this morning, a total of 117 fires have been registered.
Fatalities:
- In the village of Dobri laki, Blagoevgrad region, a 77-year-old man with mobility difficulties died.
- In the village of Dragichevo, Pernik region, a 59-year-old man died.
- In the village of Tarnak, municipality of Byala Slatina, Vratsa region, a 52-year-old man died.
Injured:
- In Lovech, a 77-year-old man was injured with burns on his hands and head (kitchen fire).
- In the village of Rakovitsa, municipality of Makresh, Vidin region, a 49-year-old woman was injured with burns on her body.
- In the village of Kamenets, municipality of Pordim, Pleven region, an 82-year-old man was injured with burns on his face.
- In the village of Yasna Polyana, municipality of Primorsko, Burgas region, a woman, gassed, aged 68, was injured.
Material damage:
- 45 fires have direct material damage (28 in residential buildings, 3 in temporary structures, 6 in vehicles, etc.).
- 72 fires are without material damage (30 in waste, 36 in cooking appliances and chimneys, etc.).
Firefighters carried out 22 rescue operations and support operations, including 2 in traffic accidents, 1 in an industrial accident, 18 technical assistance cases, and 1 for providing assistance to injured citizens. One false call was registered.
