The balance for the past 24 hours
A total of 125 fires have been extinguished in the country over the past 24 hours, according to the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Population Protection (GDFSPP) at the Ministry of Interior. As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, information indicates that there were no casualties in the incidents.
Firefighting units responded to a total of 232 incident reports across the country.
Distribution of fires
- With direct material damage: 25 fires (7 in residential buildings, 8 in vehicles, 5 in agriculture, and 2 in outdoor facilities).
- Without material damage: 100 fires (56 in dry grass and shrubs, 2 in stubble fields, and 34 in waste).
Rescue activities
In addition to extinguishing fires, firefighters performed 96 rescue operations and assistance activities, including:
- 6 operations involving transport vehicle accidents;
- 1 operation involving an industrial accident;
- Providing assistance to other institutions and citizens.
