The firefighters' summary for the past 24 hours
A total of 119 fires were extinguished by the teams of the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" (GDFSCP) over the past 24 hours. The data, current as of 6:00 a.m. this morning, show alarming statistics regarding injured citizens.
Three people were injured in the incidents that occurred, the Ministry of Interior reports.
Scale of damages
- With direct material damage: 36 fires, including 15 in residential buildings and 14 in vehicles.
- Without material damage: 83 cases, mainly ignited dry grass, bushes, and waste.
In addition to fighting fires, the teams carried out 41 rescue activities and assistance operations. 10 of them were directly related to road accidents, where firefighters provided assistance to those injured in the crashes. 8 cases of false calls were also registered.
