Two people died and one is hospitalized in life-threatening condition after two serious accidents in Varna region, the police directorate in the seaside city announced.
One of the incidents occurred in the area of the police station in the Golden Sands complex. A 28-year-old motorcyclist was hit by a car that had taken his right of way at an intersection. The young man has multiple fractures and is in intensive care, with life-threatening condition.
The other accident happened on the road between the villages of Oborishte and Vedrina, towards Dobria. The driver of a car – a 50-year-old man, lost control and crashed into a roadside tree. He and his 76-year-old mother died at the scene. Their female passenger, 50 years old, is in intensive care, but without life-threatening condition.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in both cases.
The last serious road accident in Varna was on December 22nd. Two women died then, after being hit on the sidewalk by a car.
