Two women lost their lives in fires in Bulgaria during the past 24 hours. Four people were injured. A total of 69 fires were extinguished.

In the past 24 hours in Bulgaria, two women died in fires, and four people were injured, according to the website of the General Directorate (GD) "Fire Safety and Population Protection" (FS&PP).

On December 26, at 10:52 a.m., a signal was received at the Regional Directorate (RD) FS&PP in Shumen for a fire in a house in the village of Trem, Hitrino municipality, Shumen region. The incident was extinguished with three fire trucks from the RDFS&PP-Shumen. An 85-year-old woman died.

On Friday, at 5:31 p.m., a signal was received at the RDFS&PP-Silistra for a fire in a house in the village of Nova Cherna, Tutrakan municipality, Silistra region. The fire was extinguished with one fire truck from the Regional FS&PP Service-Tutrakan. A 63-year-old woman died.

During the past 24 hours, the FS&PP units responded to 136 signals for incidents. A total of 69 fires were extinguished.

Direct material damages were caused by 26 fires, of which 18 - in residential buildings, one - in an industrial building, etc. 43 fires occurred without material damage, of which 25 were in waste, 15 - in cooking appliances and chimneys, three - others.

58 rescue operations and support operations were carried out, of which three were in accidents.

There were nine false alarms.
