Intensive 24 hours for the fire department in Bulgaria
Over the past 24 hours, fire departments in the country have responded to 180 emergency calls. According to the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection (GDFSCP), a total of 141 fires were extinguished, and unfortunately, one person was injured in the incidents.
Distribution of fires:
- With direct material damage: 21 fires (8 in residential buildings, 1 in industrial, 2 in auxiliary buildings, 4 in vehicles, 1 in agriculture, and others).
- Without material damage: 120 fires (mainly burning dry grass, bushes, and waste).
A total of 27 rescue operations were carried out, including assistance during accidents, water drainage, and animal rescue.
The fire department added that 12 cases of false alarms were also registered. Teams remain on standby to respond to new calls.
