Bloody statistics: Victims and injured on the road
The past 24 hours were marked by a series of incidents on the country's roads. According to Ministry of Interior data, 32 accidents were registered, in which one person died and 36 were injured.
In Sofia, three serious traffic accidents and 37 minor ones were registered, in which three people sought medical attention following injuries.
Data for the month and year
- Since the beginning of the month: 533 accidents, 37 dead, and 642 injured.
- Since the beginning of the year: 2,245 accidents, 162 people lost their lives, and 2,782 were injured.
The alarming trend is also confirmed by a comparison with the previous year. For the same period in 2025, there were 142 deaths, which means an increase of 20 deaths this year.
We urge drivers to exercise increased caution and comply with traffic rules in order to reduce the risk of road accidents.
