Critical road situation in Bulgaria
Over the past 24 hours, the country woke up to grim statistics. According to official data from the Ministry of Interior (MoI), 25 serious road accidents have been registered, in which one person lost their life and 30 people were injured.
In Sofia, the situation remains tense with two serious and 26 minor accidents, resulting in three injured in the capital.
Alarming increase in fatalities in 2025
Data from the comparative analysis for 2025 show serious cause for concern:
- Total number of fatalities since the beginning of the year: 215 people.
- Increase compared to the same period in 2024: 35 more victims.
These figures underscore the need for increased caution and adherence to traffic rules, especially in conditions of heavy traffic.
