Grim statistics: 20 accidents in 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, roads in Bulgaria have once again become the scene of tragedies. According to data from the Ministry of Interior (MoI), 20 road accidents were recorded, in which one person lost their life and 31 others were injured.
In Sofia, the situation remains tense with one serious and 18 minor accidents, resulting in one casualty.
Data for the month and the year
- Since the beginning of the month: 31 accidents, 6 dead, and 42 injured.
- Since the beginning of the year: 1743 accidents, 133 dead, and 2178 injured.
Incident near Petrich
The most serious case from yesterday occurred in the Petrich area. A woman died after the driver of a car, in which a total of four people were traveling, lost control of the vehicle. The incident is further proof of the need for increased caution on the road.
