Bloody statistics on the roads of Bulgaria
The past 24 hours have been marked by a series of serious road traffic accidents. According to data from the Ministry of the Interior (MoI), a total of 30 accidents resulted in 3 deaths, while another 34 people sustained various injuries.
In Sofia alone, 27 minor and two serious accidents were registered, with the toll in the capital being five injured road users.
Increase in incidents
The situation on the roads appears alarming when compared to previous periods. The statistics show:
- A total of 131 deaths for the same period in 2025.
- An increase of 19 more deaths this year compared to the same period last year.
The traffic police are urging drivers to exercise increased caution and observe traffic rules, especially in conditions of heavy traffic.
