Sozopol, Bulgaria – A serious crash, which took the lives of three young people, has shaken the coastal town of Sozopol, police announced. The incident, which plunged families and friends into mourning, happened just one day after the driver of the car received their first driver"s license.

According to information from police officers, the tragic incident occurred on Thursday evening. The drama unfolded on the road between Sozopol and Chernomorets, in the area of the 19th kilometer. A car with Varna registration went off the road and crashed into a roadside tree.

Two people died at the scene. The driver of the car – an 18-year-old youth from the village of Zidarovo, whose first driver"s license was issued only the day before. Also killed was a 17-year-old German citizen, living for a long time in Sozopol, who was traveling in the back seat. The third passenger – a 17-year-old youth from the village of Gabar, was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but unfortunately died on the way to UMBAL – Burgas.

The scene of the incident was cordoned off by the police for hours while officers conducted inspections and collected evidence. Eyewitnesses tell of the terrible sight and the rapid intervention of the rescuers. The atmosphere at the scene was saturated with grief and shock.

An investigation has been launched into the case. Initial data indicates that the crash was caused by driving at inappropriate speed and loss of control of the vehicle. Investigators will establish the exact circumstances that led to the tragic incident, which took the lives of three young hopes.
