Incident involving Ekaterina Dafovska on Trakia Motorway
A serious traffic accident has shaken the sports community in Bulgaria. Olympic biathlon champion from Nagano 1998 Ekaterina Dafovska has been involved in a crash on the Trakia motorway.
The incident occurred today at the 280th kilometer in the area of Yambol, heading towards Sofia.
According to initial reports, Dafovska's car lost control, spun, and overturned on the roadway. Fortunately, our legendary athlete escaped with only minor injuries.

- The president of the Bulgarian Biathlon Federation, Atanas Furnadzhiev, confirmed that she is in stable condition.
- Dafovska was traveling from Burgas to the capital when the incident occurred.
