Severe accident blocks traffic on Trakia Motorway
The incident occurred around 2:20 PM today in the Karnobat area. A semi-truck traveling from Burgas towards Sofia lost control, crossed the median barrier, and struck two passenger cars.
According to initial information, the driver of the heavy goods vehicle was not injured.
Police and emergency medical teams arrived at the scene of the collision. Unfortunately, one person has died, and efforts are currently underway to extract them from the vehicle cabin. Two other victims are in critical condition, and a medical helicopter has been dispatched for their emergency evacuation to a hospital.
Traffic organization
Traffic on the Trakia Motorway in this section is completely halted. Traffic is being diverted along a detour route: Karnobat – Aytos – Burgas.
