Severe road accidents: the toll for the last 24 hours
The road situation in the country remains tense. According to official data from the Ministry of Interior, 31 traffic accidents have been registered over the past 24 hours. As a result of the incidents, one person has lost their life, and 40 others have sustained injuries.
In Sofia, 24 minor and 3 severe accidents have occurred. Four people were injured, one of whom is in life-threatening condition.
Statistics for July and since the beginning of the year
- July: 225 accidents, 13 dead and 275 injured.
- Since the beginning of the year: 3,256 accidents, 230 dead and 4,036 injured.
The data serve as a reminder of the need for increased caution and adherence to traffic rules, especially during the active summer season.
