Today, Bulgaria will enjoy mostly sunny weather, although with some regional variations, BNT reported.
In the morning in Eastern Bulgaria, low cloud cover is expected, which will gradually dissipate. A weak western wind will moderate the morning temperatures, which will mainly range between 10° and 15°, with around 8° expected in Sofia, and in some valleys and lowlands – up to around 6°.
A cool start to the day is expected, especially in the more sheltered areas, where light fog may also be felt.
Daytime temperatures will continue to rise and will reach 25° to 30°, with around 26° predicted in the capital. Sunny weather will prevail throughout the day. However, in Eastern Bulgaria, a temporary increase in cloud cover is possible, and the wind will be weak, while along the Black Sea coast and in Eastern Bulgaria it will be moderate from the northeast.
Along the seaside, mostly sunny weather is expected, with occasional increases in cloud cover. Maximum temperatures along the coast will be between 23° and 25°, which is also the expected sea water temperature. The sea state will be moderate, offering suitable conditions for calmer sea trips.
The same sunny forecast applies to the mountain areas, with more significant increases in cloud cover expected around and after noon, mainly in the massifs from the eastern half of the country.
In the mountains, however, a moderate to strong northeast wind will blow, which will weaken slightly during the day. Tourists planning hikes in the mountains should take the windy conditions into account.
Except for the morning low cloud cover in Eastern Bulgaria, which will dissipate by noon, the weekend forecast predicts mostly clear weather. Only in the extreme southeastern regions on Sunday may there be precipitation.
The wind will weaken, even subsiding in many areas. A slight warming is expected, with minimum temperatures between 11° and 16° and maximum temperatures between 26° and 31° on Monday and Tuesday.
On Wednesday, an increase in medium and high cloud cover is expected from west to east, without precipitation, unlike Thursday, for which the forecast is not yet final.
