The official statistics of the Ministry of Interior reveal an extremely alarming picture of road conditions in Bulgaria, with 13 serious traffic accidents with fatal outcomes registered in the past 24 hours.

According to the published data, two people have lost their lives in road incidents, while 14 people have sustained injuries of varying severity. The capital appears to be a relatively safer area, where 16 minor road accidents were documented without recorded casualties.

The cumulative annual indicators cause serious concern among experts. From the beginning of the calendar year, the national road network has witnessed an impressive 3,819 traffic incidents, which have claimed the lives of 242 Bulgarian citizens.

The statistics unambiguously show that 4,770 people have suffered injuries of varying severity, which calls into question the effectiveness of current road safety measures. These data categorically demand urgent actions from the competent institutions.

The Ministry of Interior continues to monitor and analyze the situation, emphasizing the need to increase public attention and discipline on the roads.
