Seven people were injured in serious road accidents in the country over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior announced on its website. The data once again highlight the alarming statistics of road accidents, which continue to be a frequent cause of suffering and loss of human life.
In the capital, Sofia, a significant number of road accidents have been registered - a total of 25 minor incidents were recorded during the same period. This indicates the high concentration of traffic and the potential risks it poses.
Even more worrying are the data for the last month. Since the beginning of the current month, a total of 429 accidents have been reported throughout the country. Unfortunately, these accidents have led to tragic consequences _q_ 38 people have lost their lives and 525 have been injured. This figure underlines the need for urgent measures to improve road safety and reduce road fatalities.
If we take a look at the whole year, the statistics paint an even more grim picture. Since the beginning of the year, 5565 road accidents have been registered on the territory of the country. These incidents have claimed the lives of 367 people and caused suffering to another 6936. This emphasizes the urgent need for a comprehensive approach to address the problem, including increased control, educational campaigns, and infrastructure investments.
