Heavy rainfall is expected over the country during the night, primarily affecting the western half, reports Bulgarian National Television. Atmospheric conditions foreshadow a significant change, as the rains will spread to the eastern regions during the day. The early morning hours will be marked by temperatures ranging between 9 and 14 degrees.
In the eastern part of Bulgaria, a light to moderate southerly wind will prevail, promising milder conditions. At the same time, in the western and central parts of the Danube Plain, the wind will be weaker, coming from a west-northwesterly direction. Daytime temperatures will show a significant temperature difference depending on the region. The maximum values will be around 11 degrees in the western half of the Danube Plain, while Southeastern Bulgaria will enjoy warmer conditions, with temperatures between 19 and 20 degrees.
The Black Sea coast will remain cloudy, with relatively dry conditions expected during the day. Rain is likely to start falling during the night towards Tuesday. A light to moderate wind from the south-southeast will blow in the area.
Heavy rains are expected in the mountainous regions throughout the day. Above 2300 meters above sea level, however, the rain will turn into snow, outlining a contrasting picture. The wind in the mountains will be moderate to strong, with a southwesterly direction. The atmosphere, as if, by itself reflects the change of the season.
