Over the past 24 hours, firefighters in Bulgaria have battled dozens of fires, managing to extinguish a total of 29 blazes. The General Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" (FS&PP) reported on the demanding work of the teams, who responded to a total of 80 incident signals across the country.

One woman was injured in an incident, according to the data. Teams were called to respond to a fire in an apartment building, where the ignition of cables near the main electrical panel occurred. The incident, which happened in Varna, was extinguished by employees of the First Regional Service of FS&PP. The injured woman is 21 years old.

Firefighters faced fires that resulted in material damage in 12 cases. Of these fires, five occurred in residential buildings, which is a cause for concern. Nevertheless, the work of the firefighters was successful in another 17 cases, where the fires did not cause material damage.

In addition, 46 rescue activities and support operations were carried out in the past 24 hours. Among them, eight were related to accidents, which highlights the importance of the rapid response of the services in emergency situations.

Unfortunately, five false alarms were also received on the fire departments_q_ phone lines, which takes away valuable time and resources from real emergency situations. The work of the firefighters is challenging, but they remain on duty, ready to respond to any threat to the lives and property of Bulgarian citizens.
