Fires and Incidents in Bulgaria: Summary of the Past 24 Hours

Over the past 24 hours, fire services in Bulgaria responded to 99 calls, extinguishing 58 fires. There were no fatalities or injuries. The report details fires with and without material damage, as well as rescue operations and false alarms.

Fire services in Bulgaria responded to 99 calls for incidents and extinguished 58 fires in the past 24 hours. There were no fatalities or injuries, the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" (GD FPSP) announced on its website.

22 of the fires caused material damage – 13 in residential buildings, one in auxiliary buildings, four in vehicles, two in outdoor facilities and two others. 36 of the fires occurred without material damage – one was in dry grass, forest litter and shrubs, 29 were in waste, four – in cooking appliances and chimneys, and two others.

FPSP teams also carried out 36 rescue operations and support operations – three in accidents, one in an incident with mercury, 29 to provide technical assistance and three to assist injured citizens for transportation and organizing transport to a medical facility.

Five false calls were also reported to the FPSP.
