Over the past 24 hours, fire department teams across the country have responded to a total of 229 incident reports. Data published on the official website of the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection at the Ministry of Interior shows that 135 fires were extinguished. No fatalities or injuries among the population were reported in these incidents.
Out of the total number of fire incidents, 27 resulted in direct material losses, distributed as follows:
- eight fires in residential buildings;
- eight in vehicles;
- three in auxiliary buildings;
- three in agricultural facilities;
- one in an open-air facility;
- four other cases.
The remaining 108 fires caused no damages, including 66 cases of burning bushes, forest litter, and dry grass, 34 in waste, two in stubble fields, as well as six cases of another nature.
In addition to firefighting, the fire crews carried out 85 rescue and assistance operations. The teams assisted in three road accidents, one incident involving hazardous materials, provided technical assistance 79 times, and assisted a citizen in distress once. Furthermore, the emergency phone lines of the fire departments received nine reports that turned out to be false alarms.
