The last week brought new bitterness for Bulgarian drivers. The "24 Hours" check revealed another increase in fuel prices, with diesel fuel marking an increase of over 3 stotinki per liter, and the most popular gasoline A95 rising in price by about 2 stotinki per liter.

This latest increase complements the trend of rising prices from the previous weekend, as the prices of the main fuels in the country have equaled those of the same period last year. The summer vacation was a period of significantly lower prices, which now seems like a distant memory for many.

The analysis of prices at "Lukoil" gas stations shows that one liter of gasoline A95 is currently sold for 2.41 leva. Regular customers can take advantage of a discount, reducing the price to 2.36 leva. Exceptions are some gas stations in cities, where fuels are traditionally offered cheaper, by at least 3 stotinki per liter, compared to the facilities located in key places along the highways, where the turnover is higher.

Even more worrying is the increase at gas stations that usually offer the lowest prices. For example, at "Cruise", the price increase is significantly greater compared to last week. Then gasoline A95 was offered for 2.21 leva per liter with a discount, while now the price is 2.30 leva. Customers without a discount card pay even 2.40 leva per liter.

The situation with diesel fuel is no different. The average price in the country is already reaching 2.50 leva per liter. At gas stations with traditionally higher prices, such as "Shell", diesel is sold for 2.56 leva per liter. On the "Trakia" highway, at an OMV facility, the price of diesel reaches 2.61 leva per liter for customers without a discount, but 7 stotinki lower for those with privileges.
