The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has announced an orange code for dangerous temperature conditions that threaten citizens' physical health. Climateka experts confirm unprecedented values reaching up to 44°C on the Balkan Peninsula.

Specialists categorically warn about serious risks of physical activity during extreme temperature waves. The most critical time range remains between 11:00 and 16:00, when the danger of heat stroke and dehydration is extremely high.

Recommended alternatives include adapted strategies for safe sports:

• Trainings only in the morning until 10:00 and in the evening after 20:00;
• Preferring water sports or indoor air-conditioned spaces;
• Mandatory preventive hydration and immediate cessation at the first symptoms such as headache or dizziness.

Risk groups – elderly people, chronically ill, and children – are extremely vulnerable and should exercise maximum caution. The current heat wave is the fourth for the summer season, which emphasizes the need for increased attention and responsible behavior.

Health authorities insist on strict adherence to recommendations and timely reporting of health problems related to high temperatures.
