Yellow code for dangerously hot weather
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has issued a warning for dangerous heat in five regions of Bulgaria for today. The announced yellow code is in effect for the regions of Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, and Blagoevgrad.
The forecast indicates that maximum temperatures in these regions will reach values between 35 and 37 degrees.
What to expect in the coming days?
According to meteorologists, the heatwave will continue in the coming days. The weather will remain mostly sunny, and the mercury in thermometers will continue to rise. Maximum temperatures in the country are expected to vary between 34 and 39 degrees on Wednesday.
- Avoid going out during the hottest hours of the day.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Wear light-colored clothing.
