Danger of high temperatures throughout the country

Today, the weather in Bulgaria remains extremely hot. Almost the entire territory of the country is under the influence of a yellow code for high temperatures, which signals potential health risks for citizens.

In the Montana region, the BG-ALERT system was activated due to the extreme heat and the increased risk of forest fires.

Where to find cooling in Sofia?

The Sofia Municipality is organizing points for the distribution of free drinking water to help people cope with the heat. The points are open from 1:00 PM at the following locations:

Climate shelter for citizens

In addition to the water points, a special climate shelter has been opened in the capital, located on "Veslets" Street. There, citizens can cool off indoors or in the designated courtyard area between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
